The Impact Sport will be provided with following:
The Great Lakes Impact Sport is one of the most powerful an fastest crossbow produced serially Like all Great Lakes models the Impact is sound and manufactured with high-quality materials. All parts important for shooting are milled from a high-quality aluminium alloy and impregnated with Teflon. The manufacturer (Darton) is producing compound-crossbows for over 50 years and infuses his entire experience into the Great Lakes series. Unmistakably highest speeds, power and precision are being implemented through remarkable engineering skills. One has always a good feeling shooting with the Impact, whereas highest arrow speeds with “heaviest” arrow weights are doing their own for precise hits. The new limbs, an adjusted riser and 17 ¼” draw length enable the Impact to become the strongest and fastest “vessel” among modern crossbows. A new ergonomically formed stock with triple adjustable shoulder-support makes the crossbow not only more attractive, but guarantees a balanced and calm shooting position. The stock profile for the supporting hand is especially formed, in order to prevent the shooter from accidentially touching the chord’s way. A complete dampening package on the limbs, the chord an the arrow downholder are creating the Impact to be one of the most silent crossbows. Apart from the colouring in Realtree Hardwoods Green HD, the Impact crossbow is delivered with a new two coloured green/anthracite chord- and cablesystem made of Dynaflight. The energy transferrate on the arrow has been thus optimised, that despite their higher draw weight many crossbows have to rank themselves behind the Impact. A peep sight and pin sight (optional accessory) allows even more accurate high-range shots up to 150m. It is extraordinarily remarkable that with the new AIA 4 x 32 crossbow scope now immediately possible to shoot at a range of 0-75m without a height adjustment of the scope. If you use then the height adjustment a distance up to 100m is possible. /photos/accessories/l/zubehoer-4_x_32_aia_zielfernrohr-1103.jpg Alike to the sistermodels the trigger system(made by the Fa. Winchester), the precision machined arrow track and the teflon-coating are guaranteeing best results. An arrow speed of 356,6fps (108,69 m/s or 391,29 km/h) with a 460grain arrow (29,82g) have been measured with the Impact. It seems to be that the times in which one could associate an enormous shooting-sound with a high arrow speed are over – but be aware, despite the fact that this dog does not bark, he bites even harder. The European Record in 3D shooting of the EAA is still hold with Great Lakes’ models. |
