The manufacturer (Darton) produces compound-crossbows for over 50 years and infuses his entire experience into the Great Lakes series. Unmistakably highest speeds, power and precision are being implemented through remarkable engineering skills.

Like all Great Lakes models the Stinger is sound and manufactured with high-quality materials. All parts important for shooting are milled from a high-quality aluminium alloy and impregnated with Teflon. One has alway a very good feeling and is equally surprised how soft and calm this crossbow is behaving at the point of firing.

How accurate does it shoot?

A new ergonomically formed stock with triple adjustable shoulder-support makes the crossbow not only more attractive, but guarantees a balanced and calm shooting position.

The stock profile for the stützhand is especially formed, in order to prevent the shooter from accidentially touching the chord’s way. A complete dampening package on the limbs, the chord an the arrow downholder are creating the Stinger to be one of the most silent crossbows.

The Stinger has a 1,5“ shorter draw length than the Impact but ranks nevertheless second on the world market regarding the arrow energy after her bigger brother. It is to be said that the reasons therefor are to be found by the heavier arrows and the higher arrow speeeds. Arrow speeds of 330fps with a 480grain (31,00g) arrow have been measured with the Stinger. This equals about 101 m/s or 362 km/h.
